Description

In this first encounter, Literature and Memory, through Poetry, memory becomes evident amidst voids and silences. The three Canarian authors, Alicia Llarena, Daniela Martín Hidalgo, and Juli Mesa, will reflect on the place of memory in literature, situating themselves within the Canarian context from a political, historical, and cultural perspective—a perspective that is intimate and sensitive—in dialogue with Marta García Acevedo.

This meeting will also engage in dialogue with the parallel exhibition Constellation of Canary Island Writers, which takes place at Casa Anchieta, establishing a bridge between different generations of authors and highlighting the continuous expansion of this literary cartography, thanks to the emergence of new talents in the field of Canary Island literature.

This literary event has been organized in collaboration with the Cultural Classroom of Language and Literature of the University of La Laguna.
