Who is Michael Jakob?

Michael Jakob taught comparative literature classes at the University of Grenoble, History and Landscape Theory at the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio of the University of the Italian Svizzera and in the Polytechnic of Milan. He is a visiting professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. His teaching and research focuses on landscape theory, aesthetics, the history of vertigo, contemporary theories of perception and poetics of architecture. Some of its publications in English: The Swiss Touch in Landscape Architecture, IFENGSPACE, Tianjing (2015); The Bench in the Garden, Gold Editions, Novato (2022); FAUX MOUNTAINS, GOLD EDITIONS, CA (2019), SEEDS OF KNOWLEDGE, SILVANA EDITORIALE, MILAN (2022). And in Spanish: the garden and the representation, Siruela, Madrid, Spain, (2010); The bank in the garden, Abada Editores, Madrid (2016). He is a commissioner of international exhibitions and author of documentaries on landscape and architecture.
