Who is Ángel Gabilondo Pujol?

Since November 2021, he has served as the Ombudsman of Spain. A Professor of Metaphysics at the Autonomous University of Madrid, he was Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters from 1989 to 1992 and from 2002to2009. the same university He was President of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) from 2007 to 2009, Ministerof Education from 2009 to 2011 , andspokesperson in the Assembly of Madrid from May 2015 to May 2021. He has translated and edited numerous texts, articles, and books, published fifteen books and more than 180 articles, and supervised 22 doctoral theses. He has been awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Charles III in 2011, Doctor Honoris Causa from the Autonomous University of Mexico in 2011, and has received the Grand Cross of Alfonso X the Wise in 2014, among other decorations and recognitions.
