Who is Ana Palacio?

International lawyer. In her extensive political and professional career, she has held, among other positions: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain; Member of the Spanish and European Parliaments; Member of the Council of State; First Vice President and General Counsel of the World Bank Group; Secretary General of the ICSID; and Executive Vice President in charge of the international department of the nuclear company AREVA. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards of several private companies, as well as public and private institutions. She is a visiting professor at Georgetown University. She publishes monthly in Project Syndicate and weekly in El Mundo.
