Place of celebration

La Laguna Cajacanarias Cultural Space

Description

This conference will address the Addar (La Punta del Hidalgo) achimenceyato (kingdom) and the Guanche worldview reflected in numerous sacred sites. The research has also allowed for the recovery and identification of Guanche place names in this territory and revealed the connection between landscape, beliefs, and astronomy. In a dialogue with journalist Verónica Galán, a new perspective will be offered on the indigenous heritage and its influence on the history of Tenerife, even after the conquest, where Guanche elements persisted in the religious imagination.

Following the conference, a guided tour of the exhibition will be given by Professor Farrujia.
