Literary meeting of women writers: Literature and diversity 

The Literary Encounters of Women Writers turn their attention to new Canarian literature. The aim is to create a space for dialogue, reflection, and exchange around contemporary literary creation in the Canary Islands, as a commitment to disseminating the thought, culture, and emerging voices of the archipelago.  

The focus is on recognizing the relevance of their works and their contribution to the regional and national cultural and literary landscape. Particular interest is placed on the new generation of female authors.  

This will be a conversation to weave together three diverse perspectives from three Canarian authors who build their writing around difference, resistance, and dissent.  

 The meetings will also engage with the parallel exhibition Constellation of Canary Island Writers, which will take place at Casa Anchieta, establishing a bridge between different generations of authors and highlighting the continuous expansion of this literary cartography, thanks to the emergence of new talents in the field of Canary Island literature.
