Recognizing our past, exploring our memory, participating in tradition—but actively, by nourishing the design process in its essence, not just its surface. The Gordian knot lies in being able to establish genealogies between architectural projects, to foster cross-sectional visions between history and contemporary life, to explain the present from the past and the past from the present.
