Professor of Philosophy of Law and Director of the Gregorio Peces-Barba Institute of Human Rights at Carlos III University of Madrid. She is Vice President of the Gregorio Peces-Barba Foundation for the Study and Cooperation in Human Rights. Much of her research focuses on human rights from ethical, political, and legal perspectives, with a particular interest in contemporary challenges to the universality of human rights. She has numerous publications and has participated in many research projects.
