She has held prominent academic and institutional positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of La Laguna, AdvisorExpert to the Economic and Social Council of Spain, Minister of Employment, Industry, and Commerce for the Government of the Canary Islands, Director of the University Institute for Women's Studies, and President of the CajaCanarias Foundation. Shehas collaborated with universities and international organizations such as the ILO and the European Commission. She currently advises on labor and social issues related to Europe and Africa.
