Who is Carmen Espegel Alonso?

She is a Professor of Architectural Design at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM). Her career is based on three complementary areas: academic, research, and professional. Academically, she has taught both in Spain and abroad. Her research focuses on interventions in heritage and housing. She directs the "Collective Housing" Research Group. She has written books and numerous articles showcasing her critical thinking. Professionally, she heads the firm Espegel Arquitectos, whose projects have received numerous awards.
