Who is María Belén Melián Batista?

Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of La Laguna. She holds degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science, all from the University of La Laguna. Her main research and knowledge transfer interests focus on optimization, simulation, and data analytics, primarily applied to port logistics, freight transport, and hotel waste management. She was a co-founder of Kaizten Analytics, SL, a technology-based company (a spin-off of the University of La Laguna), where she worked until March 2024.
