War disasters

July 28 and 29, 2025

This course represents an opportunity to better understand the complexities of modern war conflicts and their impact on humanity.

Understand the war to build peace

It seeks to provide a space for dialogue, learning and reflection, with the aim of contributing to the construction of a more peaceful and fair future.

It is about exploring, with a multidisciplinary approach, the effects and challenges that emerge from war conflicts in our world, addressing how war impacts various aspects of human life, from ethics and moral values to geopolitical and economic implications, in a constant global context.

The city of La Laguna, declared World Heritage of UNESCO, is also recognized as a city of peace for its tradition of dialogue, coexistence and cultural diversity. Its historical and symbolic character makes this place an ideal space to promote the culture of understanding, respect and defense of democratic values against violence and destruction caused by armed conflicts.

The course is taught in face -to -face mode or can be followed live online.
