Inaugural Conference. The European Union between wars and elections

The opening ceremony of the International Campus Ciudad de la Laguna will mark the beginning of a week dedicated to knowledge, culture and global dialogue, with an inaugural conference by Josep Borrell Fontelles, former high representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policies. In this intervention, Borrell will offer a deep reflection on the effects and challenges generated by war conflicts in the contemporary world, addressing them from a multidisciplinary perspective that combines geopolitics, ethics, economy and human rights. His international experience will contribute a strategic vision on the role of Europe and the global community before the current international war scenarios and tension.

The rector of the University of La Laguna, Francisco García Rodríguez, will be in charge of his presentation.
