The opening ceremony of the Ciudad de La Laguna International Campus will mark the start of a week dedicated to knowledge, culture, and global dialogue, with an inaugural lecture by Josep Borrell Fontelles, former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. In his address, Borrell will offer a profound reflection on the effects and challenges of armed conflict in the contemporary world, addressing them from a multidisciplinary perspective that combines geopolitics, ethics, economics, and human rights. His international experience will provide a strategic vision of the role of Europe and the global community in the face of current scenarios of war and international tension.
The rector of the University of La Laguna, Francisco García Rodríguez, will be in charge of its presentation.
