Description

Within the framework of the International Campus City of La Laguna, music also has its place as a vehicle for identity and collective memory.

And few groups better represent that intersection of culture, history, and belonging than Los Sabandeños.

Celebrating six decades since the beginning of their journey, a time when a group of friends from the university environment of La Laguna decided to create a musical group that would end up marking the history of Canarian folk and popular music: los Sabandeños.

Today, with almost 70 albums under their belt and a history marked by cultural commitment, los Sabandeños celebrate their 60th anniversary with a special production: an exciting show that pays tribute to their cultural legacy.

The repertoire that los Sabandeños offer, within the Ciudad de La Laguna International Campus, will consist of 15 emblematic songs from their musical history, pieces that have marked generations and are engraved in the collective memory.

La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage City, becomes the stage that night to celebrate what is ours: tradition made music, the legacy that lives on, and the art of telling who we are through songs.
