Description

The closing lecture of the International Campus will be given by Professor Rafael Yuste, an internationally renowned neurobiologist and director of the Center for Neurotechnology at Columbia University. In his address, Yuste will discuss the impact of new neurotechnologies on science, medicine, and society, highlighting their applications and the associated ethical risks. As a driving force behind the BRAIN Initiative and the concept of “neuro-rights,” he will reflect on the need to guarantee the protection of the human mind in the face of technological advancements.

Valentín Martínez Pillet, director of the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands, will be in charge of its presentation.
